Courses during the Hessian Easter holidays 2026
Welcome to our riding lessons for children ages 6 to approximately 14!
Our groups consist of a maximum of 16 children and offer a diverse program. We start each day with varied warm-up exercises, including coordination and fall exercises.
Everyone is welcome, with or without previous equestrian experience. You will need comfortable, weatherproof clothing and a riding or cycling helmet.
We place great emphasis on proper horse handling. Our children practice grooming, picking hooves, saddling, and bridle-fitting. Each child is assigned to a pony or horse, which they will look after together with a partner. The focus is on handling, leading, communication, and, of course, riding. One or two riding lessons await the children daily on the riding arena and in the countryside.
There are also theory sessions to deepen their knowledge. There is also plenty of time for free play, where the children can playfully review what they have learned. The week culminates in our Friday barbecue, where we enjoy stick bread and sausages and reflect on our shared experiences. We look forward to spending an unforgettable time with the children, all about horses!

On Saturday rides (every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from October to April) at 11:00 a.m., children have the opportunity to groom the ponies themselves and prepare them for the ride. During this process, they gain their first experience in handling the ponies and always have a trusted person by their side.
As soon as everyone is ready, we set off on a roughly 20-minute ride through the fields. Additional chaperones are welcome. During the 12:00 p.m. round (depending on demand), we take over the ponies and then take care of their after-ride care.
With grandma or grandpa, with mom or dad, or with everyone together ... We'd love for you to join us!
Because you'll have a chaperone with you, there's no minimum age. And anyway, we're always there for you and will run with you! Please remember a bike or riding helmet, sturdy shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing.

Cost: 1 hour/€ 26.00 per child
Meeting point: 11:00 a.m. - in case of high demand, additional time at 12:00 p.m.
